Introduction to Curly Hair
Hair has been for many centuries now something that has to do with
the human aesthetic more than an evolutionary requirement and it is
interesting to note this much importance being given to a part of the
human body that isn’t strictly alive.
As an evolutionary tool healthy hair is meant to indicate health and
youth which are important for finding a mate, and while this is partly
still true in modern society there are many ways of masking or modifying
one’s hair or lack of; as a testament to the importance of hair in
modern society is the incredibly large market for hair-care products
that cater to both men and women that has developed through the years.
Regardless of the specific pigment of one’s hair which can be
artificially modified with hair dye, hair is either straight or curly
(coiled) each of these having certain variations but these being the
basic types.
Curly hair nowadays, especially in women, tends to be quite delicate
and rather easy to damage. Even if it looks strong and resistant when it
starts sticking out at odd angles and in every direction, the truth is
that it is considerably fragile and required to be handles very
carefully.
